Reinwardt Heritage Intervention Award
The Reinwardt Academy has given its graduation prize a new look: the Reinwardt Heritage Intervention Award, formerly the P.J.A. van Mensch Prize. The award is presented to one bachelor’s and one master’s student who, through solid research, have developed a heritage-related professional product with the greatest potential for social impact. In the assessment, consideration is given to the assignment and the professional context within which the student created the final product. The work must have been graded with at least an 8 (out of 10) and must relate to the Reinwardt societal themes (Diversity, Sustainability, Digitality). Honorable mentions are possible, in recognition of the diversity of subjects, issues, and organizations.
The award, worth 500 euros, will be presented in November in the presence of professionals from the field. The jury will consist of Cultural Heritage professor Hester Dibbits and two other professors from the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK).
Application and Selection
After the graduation projects have been graded, a selection is made for the Reinwardt Heritage Intervention Award. The selection committee consists of: Dr. Melissa Bremmer (Professor of the Research Group Arts Education), Dr. Naomi Bueno de Mesquita (Professor of Social Justice and Diversity in the Arts), and Dr. Hester Dibbits (Professor at the Reinwardt Academy).
