Riemer Knoop has a broad professional background in archaeology, monument preservation, museums and heritage due to roles at the National Museum of Antiquities, VU Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam. His consultancy firm Gordion offers personalised solutions in policy development, communication and strategy since 1998. He reflects his experience on epistemological, societal and organizational matters from his consulting practice in the Cultural Heritage Research Group. Mainly on dynamics in which heritage arises. He was attached at the Mahidol University in Bangkok in Thailand as visiting professor in cultural heritage and museum studies to the Research Institute of Languages and Cultures of Asia (RILCA).
