The dream of preservation: archiving and heritage – perspective, discomfort and a look ahead
Publication in Dutch
The dream of preservation: archiving and heritage – perspective, discomfort and a look ahead is an essay about the seeming threats to society’s cultural memory resulting from the ‘orphaning’ of collections. Shouldn’t we be preserving more? And better? The authors do not argue in favour of a stricter preservation regime, but rather a different attitude with regard to the way we treat the past and its material memories.
