City museums on the move. A dialogue between professionals from African countries, the Netherlands and Belgium is the report on a two-day symposium organized in 2010 by the Amsterdam Museum, the UvA and the Reinwardt Academy. It presents trends that were observed at more than twenty urban museums in various countries in different continents. In addition, this publication shows how these museums anticipate the future together with academics and museologists.
