Our residents

Terzij de Hordeis a band that is making its mark in the Netherlands and internationally within the so-called Black Metal genre. The band actively seeks connections with a wider audience for reflection and the search for meanings. For example, the band was a guest at Documenta where it spoke with the audience about what this music does to people, looking at the emotional (dis)charge that people feel when listening to their albums and/or attending their shows. The ongoing search for ways to connect more deeply with life, singer Joost Vervoort indicates, is necessary and urgent. The music of Terzij de Horde is intense, and wants to enable us to feel; sadness, mourning, anger, resignation and above all the ability to connect with life on an earthly, universal, cosmic scale. The new album is expected at the end of 2025 under the title Our breath is not ours alone - referring to the way in which feelings and ideas resonate between people, so that a sense of shared responsibility for the future can grow.
