Curator and Head of Learning Jet van Overeem has been responsible for the remarkable and highly acclaimed Wonderkamers (Wonder Rooms) – a basement exhibition that is focussed on young visitors and adolescents. She also is responsible for the temporary children and family exhibitions, which are usually part of the blockbuster exhibition programme. However this small-scale exhibition has a ‘stand-alone’ room next to the museum’s café. It is for this specific exhibition room that the students of the Master of Museology were invited to bring about an inspiring and fitting exhibition proposal."I would like to implement some of the ideas," said Overeem who reacted enthusiastic about the creative way the students translated the question of the museum into exhibition concepts.

"This is the generation that will keep museums alive"
At the end of the project by three groups of students presented in the arena of the Academy, in the presence of other students, teachers, lecturers and the client. Here the importance of new experiences by families was emphasized. If families and new generations are not encouraged from a positive from an early age to visit the museum, it will lose future potential visitors!
