Master’s students receive their Applied Museum and Heritage Studies diplomas
On Friday, 19 September, it was the turn of the master’s students to sign their well-deserved diplomas. The ceremony took place in the Arena at the Reinwardt Academy.
Programme manager Menno Welling gave the opening speech, after which the lecturers addressed each heritage professional personally. The Instagram highlight offers an impression of the ceremony and showcases the festive outfits of the graduates.

A special gift
In addition to their diplomas, the students also received a print by artist Emma Levie. The creative Emma Levie illustrated several plants and birds from the garden. The watercolours were brought together in a print, produced in a limited edition. Each master’s student received a numbered copy as a graduation gift.
About the artist Emma Levie
@emmaruthlevie
Emma Levie (Amsterdam, 1990) studied Image & Language at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy. From the age of six, she spent every Saturday drawing animals at Artis Zoo. Everything that grows and lives fascinates her immensely; she prefers to connect with her surroundings by zooming in on what she sees, giving those things her full attention for a moment by observing them closely, and then translating them onto an otherwise blank sheet of paper.
